Dear October 1st
The ink of my pen is like a river As I write the more I go deeper, My words sinking in like the sunset O! October 1st what has thou brought ye You’re +1 today, how time flies! I wish I could tell you how happy I am for you; But you seem so demised We are all covered in the flood of your tears, And from a mile away I can hear your cry. What a country filled with hardworking youths and Philosophers, And at the same time opposite characters of different kinds. Many years of both excellence and failure, Masked men behind the smoke screen pulling our strings How long shall we dance to their tune? For we go wherever they pull, whatever shall we do, O motherland! I commend you. Summary: We’ve been through good and bad But it’s not always white or black There’s still hope for our motherland Only if we pray, put in work and do the best we can.
